Paragliders climb on rising warm air, called thermals, and can stay aloft for hours without a motor. This clip follows one pilot as she breaks through the cloud layer on a clear spring morning.
Beginners usually start with tandem flights alongside an instructor. A full solo licence typically takes around ten to fifteen days of training, weather permitting.
